Argyle Sweater
The argyle design traces back to the 17th century, the pattern originated from the tartan plaids of the Scottish Highlands which were adapted into the diamond-shaped motif. After WWI Pringle of Scotland knitwear company popularized the argyle sweater in the 1920’s especially through golf fashion. Blending heritage, tradition and modern preppy style we are happy this style is making a resurgence.

The technique dates back centuries but gained recognition in the 1920’s when Edward VIII was photographed wearing them while golfing.
